Amends Title 47 (Animals, Livestock & Poultry), Chapter 1 (Cruelty to Animals), Section 170 (Penalties for Violation of Chapter) of SC Code of Laws to prohibit a person convicted of a repeat offense of animal cruelty from owning an animal for a period not to exceed 5 years.

"Jayce's Law" amends Title 47 (Animals, Livestock & Poultry), Chapter 1 (Cruelty to Animals) by adding a new Article 17 (Pit Bull Dogs) to require pit bull registration and to establish a breed determination procedure.

HB 4099/SB 741

A Joint Resolution to approve SC Dept. of Natural Resources Document No. 5027 which would amend Chapter 123 (Dept. of Natural Resources) of SC Code by adding a new section 123-152 (Regulations for Nonnative Wildlife) which would restrict the importation, possession and sale of Restricted Nonnative Wildlife (to include Black and White Tegus).

Amends Title 47 (Animals, Livestock & Poultry), Chapter 1 (Cruelty to Animals), Section 145 (Custody and Care of Animal after Arrest; Custodial Costs) of SC Code of Laws to provide for circumstances in which a defendant is found guilty and is able to reclaim the animal.

SB 605

A resolution to approve proposed SC Department of Natural Resources rulemaking amending Chapter 123 (Dept. of Natural Resources) of SC Code by adding 2 new sections to establish protection for native reptiles and amphibians and set conditions for lawful possession, transfer, sale, barter, trade, shipment and removal from the state, and attempt of any of the preceding as well as establishing permitting.
