Amends Nebraska Revised Statutes by adopting the Animal Health and Disease Control Act to protect the health of animals in Nebraska by regulating or prohibiting certain activities relating to the health and movement of animals within, transported through, or into the state.

LB 382

Amends Section 54-644 (Dog & Cat Purchase Protection Act) of Nebraska Revised Statutes to provide for:  1) additional written disclosure statement requirements; 2) recordkeeping retention requirements; and 3) preemption of local laws.

Amends Chapter 54 (Livestock), Section 54-909 (Conviction; court order not to own or possess livestock animal; violation; penalty; seizure of livestock animal) of the Revised Statutes of Nebraska to change provisions relating to ownership, possession, or seizure of animals after conviction of a court order under the Livestock Animal Welfare Act.
