Avian Certification

The Pet Advocacy Network, formerly PIJAC, is proud to offer the Certified Avian Specialist (CAS) certification program to professionals and hobbyists who are looking to enhance their knowledge of birds with a professional credential.

How Certification Works

Applicants are mailed a certification package containing a manual divided into chapters on animal care and maintenance and a final examination to complete. Examinations are returned to the Pet Advocacy Network for grading. Once we determine you have successfully completed the program, a certificate is mailed to you. Certifications must be renewed every three years. See below for instructions on recertification.

Recertification

Recertification is required every three years. To obtain recertification information contact us here.
